John Neutze Fellowship Grant

Value: 0.20 FTE of the successful recipient’s salary

The Heart Lung Foundation is pleased to invite applications for the John Neutze Fellowship, a prestigious fellowship offering 0.2 FTE support for research in any one of the disciplines supported by the fund. Specifically, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, paediatric and congenital cardiology, respiratory medicine, cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care. This fellowship is designed for individuals who have completed specialist training in New Zealand or Australia and wish to establish a career as a clinician-scientist or clinician-researcher.

This is unique opportunity to support research work within a clinical setting. Structured clinical exposure tailored to your interests will be facilitated. Mentorship from internationally recognised clinicians and researchers as well as access to academic resources and support through the University of Auckland will be available.

The fellowship honours the legacy of Professor John Neutze, a pioneer in New Zealand cardiology and congenital heart disease. It aims to support the development of future leaders through a combination of clinical excellence, academic research, and professional mentorship.
