Centennial Travel Award will be utilised to assist me to travel to London, United Kingdom and then Barcelona, Spain to support development of a research collaboration and study reporting patient, whānau and staff experiences of virtual visiting at the Intensive Care Unit, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, London 2. Receive mentorship towards my own professional development and promotion which is unavailable in New Zealand 3. Present study results from a study I lead undertaken to determine two year neurological, cognitive and functional outcomes of survivors of out of hospital cardiac arrest in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Centennial Travel Award will be utilised to support my attendance to the Harbor – UCLA practicum in cardiopulmonary exercise testing in October 2024 in California, USA. My educational aims for attending the course include: To increase my understanding of gas exchange and the physiological response to exercise. To improve my ability to interpret cardiopulmonary exercise tests conducted in our respiratory physiology laboratory. To enhance my understanding of the physiological response during exercise in healthy and clinical populations.
